Chopta: The Mini Switzerland of India

Your journey begins with a 06:00 AM pickup from Haridwar or Rishikesh. Drive through the scenic Badrinath Highway, stopping at Devprayag to witness the birthplace of the Ganga (confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda). Continue past Srinagar for lunch and pause at Rudraprayag to see the Mandakini and Alaknanda confluence. Arrive at the "Mini Switzerland" of Chopta by evening, check into your camp, and enjoy tea while watching the sun set over the Kedar peaks.

After an early breakfast, begin your 3.5 km trek to Tungnath, the world's highest Shiva temple. The path winds through vibrant rhododendron and cedar forests. After seeking blessings, push another 1.5 km further to the Chandrashila Summit (4,000m). Here, you will experience a 360-degree panorama of the high Himalayas, including Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba. After spending time at the peak, trek back down to the base camp in Chopta for a celebratory dinner.

Wake up to a crisp mountain breakfast in the meadows before checking out. On the return drive, visit Ukhimath, the winter seat of Lord Kedarnath, and stop at the sacred Dhari Devi Temple, uniquely situated in the middle of the Alaknanda River. As you descend toward the plains, enjoy final views of the Garhwal hills. The tour concludes with an evening drop-off at Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport (DED).
